Instructor Training Academy

If you like driving and think you have the ability to pass on your skills and knowledge to others then this is your opportunity.

If you think your driving skills are up to it and you think you have the ability to be an effective teacher & have held a clean licence for a minimum of 4 years then you are the person we are looking for to train as a driving instructor.

After an initial driving assessment and short interview we will decide if you are of the correct calibre to be able to train, and if you so wish be offered a place within our company on qualifying.

To qualify as a driving instructor and after passing your theory exam you have a two-year period in which to pass the final two exams with only a maximum of three attempts at each.

Part 1 – Theory Test of 100 multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception test.

We provide all learning material with our full support as well as mock tests to make sure you are well prepared.

Part 2 – Driving test (advanced standard)

We provide full training either on a 1:1 or shared. Including mock tests to manage your progress and make sure you’re on track to achieve a first time pass. (Max 3 attempts)

Part 3 –Instructional ability

This is the most challenging part where we will teach you how to become a first class driving instructor and also tailor the training to your requirements and that of the two-phase test. (Max 3 attempts) Two phases chosen from either of these three.

• Phase 1 aimed at a complete beginner or partly trained pupil.
• Phase 2 aimed at a trained learner up to test standard.
• Phase 3 aimed at a qualified driver on a driver improvement course.
